HappiTea Expands Into Mumbai and Gurgaon as India Franchise Network Passes 35 Stores

HappiTea, the international brand of Vietnam's Phuc Tea, has opened two new outlets in India: a flagship on South Mumbai's high-footfall Kemps Corner stretch and a second location on Gurgaon's Dwarka Expressway, according to October 2026 reporting by Indian Retailer's Franchise TV.
The openings extend a master-franchise rollout that began in April 2026, when HappiTea opened its first three India stores in Hyderabad under a partnership with Franchise India's FranGlobal division. The brand has since signed more than 35 franchise outlets across eight Indian states.
Franchise India chairman Gaurav Marya described the Mumbai opening as an important milestone, pointing to Kemps Corner's heavy foot traffic as a boost to the brand's visibility in one of India's most expensive retail corridors. The Gurgaon location, by contrast, was chosen for the commuter and long-distance traffic that passes along the Dwarka Expressway.
The India build-out sits alongside HappiTea's earlier international entry into the Philippines through a master-franchise agreement with SM Group, part of a broader push by Phuc Tea to establish its tea and coffee format across multiple Asian markets beyond Vietnam.
